UG - ACC's VERY OWN ADJUDGED THE BEST.


On Friday 1st March, 2019 the University of Ghana’s Careers and counselling center crowned Samuel Akai Nettey the smart decent and hardworking General Secretary of ACC- SRC as the entire university’s Corporate Icon of the year at the just ended career week during its career fair organized to expose students to the industry of their interest, the fair was characterized with lots of activities as about 30 companies including Ecobank, Total Ghana, Access Bank, Transmed facilitated the event.
Students were given our the opportunity to present their Curriculum Vitae (CV) to as many companies as possible, however out of 500 CVs presented to the companies only Six were granted a place in the competition for the corporate icon where Samuel Akai Nettey dominated all stages. A public interview was organized for the six selected students on the Thursday 28th February, 2019.
 Human Resource personnel from Total Ghana, Transmed and Access Bank who were the Judges to the competition revealed Samuel’s CV was excellent and has the necessary skills to fit in any corporate organization with his remarkable qualifications and experience, they also commended his outstanding Public speaking and Communication ability.
The Careers and counselling center awarded him on his victory whiles the facilitating companies presented souvenirs to honor his success.

“PHADDA CARL” THREATENS TO SUE UG – ACC ELECTORAL COMMISSION FOR THE UNJUSTIFIABLE HIGH COST OF THE SRC EXECUTIVE NOMINATION FORMS.

  A student by name Ben- Carl  Dzogbo , popular called  Phadda  Carl intends to pursue a legal action against the Electoral commission of University of Ghana – Accra  City campus on  grounds of price hike  of the nomination forms of the  upcoming SRC elections. “The question that boggles my mind is the quoted amount in the EC’s report that was eventually approved by the General Assembly constitutionally justifiable? Article 40 of the UG – ACC constitution states that all administrative expenses of the electoral commission should be charged to the student’s fund. Is the picki ng of nominations forms an  avenue to exploit aspirants or to filter  the financially incapable? Well I have made my decision to iron out this conundrum of constitutional inconsistency as a student activist. ” He said.
