Is the city adequately prepared for this years elections? it has been circulated all around campus that this years SRC elections will take place at the campus on 28th of April, f ollowing the release of the Electoral calendar signed by Mr. Zra - Dronyah Sylvester the Electoral commission chairman UG - ACC. There are outrageous campaigns by hopeful aspiring candidates who are not yet vetted "we have decided to put it on a Thursday at a meeting we had yesterday because we want maximum participation from the students therefore i will urge you to vote for Mr. Abekah Emmanuel" as Chapman said yesterday at one of his campaign outreaches to a Principles of management class held at Ground floor hall 2. However there are banners flying all around campus bearing names like Desmond Lamptey (Papa Nii) , Isaac Bondah, and others aspiring for various positions in the SRC.

  A University of Ghana  Accra City Campus level 100 student by name Ekow Manful was attacked yesterday around 4:50 am at  Kantamanto market which resulted to   the lost of his wrist watch, Bag, two mobile Phones and wallet. A student who lodges in a hostel close to Accra polytechnic stated that, he went to the market to buy some clothes and shoes before his early morning lectures. After he purchased his items and about leaving the market,  the attackers came in a bulk, interrogated, searched him and took all his possessions including the items he bought. although he was not molested or beaten, he was made to kowtow to their instruction not to shout, scream or  draw attention to them. he also said the one who sold the items to him was part of the attackers.
