The UG ACC SRC elections


Is the city adequately prepared for this years elections?
it has been circulated all around campus that this years SRC elections will take place at the campus on 28th of April, following the release of the Electoral calendar signed by Mr. Zra - Dronyah Sylvester the Electoral commission chairman UG - ACC. There are outrageous campaigns by hopeful aspiring candidates who are not yet vetted "we have decided to put it on a Thursday at a meeting we had yesterday because we want maximum participation from the students therefore i will urge you to vote for Mr. Abekah Emmanuel" as Chapman said yesterday at one of his campaign outreaches to a Principles of management class held at Ground floor hall 2. However there are banners flying all around campus bearing names like Desmond Lamptey (Papa Nii) , Isaac Bondah, and others aspiring for various positions in the SRC.

“PHADDA CARL” THREATENS TO SUE UG – ACC ELECTORAL COMMISSION FOR THE UNJUSTIFIABLE HIGH COST OF THE SRC EXECUTIVE NOMINATION FORMS.

  A student by name Ben- Carl  Dzogbo , popular called  Phadda  Carl intends to pursue a legal action against the Electoral commission of University of Ghana – Accra  City campus on  grounds of price hike  of the nomination forms of the  upcoming SRC elections. “The question that boggles my mind is the quoted amount in the EC’s report that was eventually approved by the General Assembly constitutionally justifiable? Article 40 of the UG – ACC constitution states that all administrative expenses of the electoral commission should be charged to the student’s fund. Is the picki ng of nominations forms an  avenue to exploit aspirants or to filter  the financially incapable? Well I have made my decision to iron out this conundrum of constitutional inconsistency as a student activist. ” He said.
