A student by name Ben- Carl Dzogbo, popular called Phadda Carl intends to pursue a legal action against the Electoral commission of University of Ghana – Accra City campus on grounds of price hike of the nomination forms of the upcoming SRC elections. “The question that boggles my mind is the quoted amount in the EC’s report that was eventually approved by the General Assembly constitutionally justifiable? Article 40 of the UG – ACC constitution states that all administrative expenses of the electoral commission should be charged to the student’s fund. Is the picking of nominations forms an avenue toexploit aspirants or to filter the financially incapable? Well I have made my decision to iron out this conundrum of constitutional inconsistency as a student activist.” He said.
