Following the SRC elections that took place yesterday the 28TH of April, Students voted in a silent and violence free manner. Even though they were  kept in a tensed situation as the announcement of the results was delayed about 30 minutes, the supporters of the various candidates did nothing much more than to cheer their aspirants with songs and chants of praise. The raw figures of the vote as declared by the Electoral commissioner Mr. Dra -  Zronya shows there were about a 1091 voters out of over 6000 students. The outcomes of the votes are as follows: ABEKA -----     683  ( 57.58%) BONDAH ----   504 ( 42.48%). Making Abekah Emmanuel as the SRC president Elect for the city. Abdul Rashad as the secretary elect whiles the two other unopposed c andidates won their respective positions. 

An injunction has been laid on the electoral process prior to a court order issued by the chief Justice upon hearing the suit case petitioned by the counsel of Rose Adjei Darkwa an SRC women commissioner ( WOCOM) aspirant over her alleged undeserved disqualification from the race by the electoral commission.
